Thursday 7th June

Open Mic Night

Join us for an Open Mic Night at the (in)famous Au Chat Noir! Known for its Spoken Word nights, poets and performers come from around the globe to share their evocative work. From stand-up comedy to songs to poetry, the Open Mic Night is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in new ideas, images, and be surrounded by provocative people.

The theme is REVOLUTION and it will certainly revolutionize your evening.

Entry is free of charge and Happy Hour drinks at the upstairs bar are a steal!

The night begins with a Creative Writing Workshop for beginner and advanced writers alike for an engaging exercise to get the creative juices flowing. Bring your imagination! Writers will have time to produce a short piece and have the opportunity to present for a wider audience at the Open Mic Night if they so choose.

Sign-ups for Open Mic Night slots will begin at 20:00 and each performer will have five minutes to share their work. The theme is open for interpretation! From storytelling to beatboxing rap, we welcome all styles. Performances will begin at 20:30 and continue until 22:00 with a short break in the middle.

A night at Au Chat Noir is one to remember – this one will be marked by Revolution.
